Here’s a breakdown of the convertible weatherstripping parts on your Sunbird or Cavalier:
1983- 1994 Convertible Parts
The Front Bow Weatherstrip seals the convertible top to the windshield when the top is up. The Convertible Roof Rail Weatherstrips seal between the roof and the side windows, when the windows are fully raised and the top is up.

The Side Window Leading Edge attaches to the vertical edge of the rear side window and seals between the rear side window and the front side window when they are both fully raised.

The Convertible Top Rail Cushion goes between the first and second section of the convertible roof rail.

#70-3436-72 Front Door Weatherstrip: These are push-on type door seals and attach to the body of the vehicle. They are fully molded and have authentically configured molded ends with premium brass, corrosion-resistant, metal cores. Sold as a pair.
#82-0038-84 Trunk or Hatchback Weatherstrip: Mounts directly to the body, around the full perimeter of the trunk or hatchback opening. This is a push-on seal, no glue required.
#70-3437-73 Cap Seal: Located at the striker on the top of the door. Fully molded rubber with 2 screw holes. Sold as a pair.

1995- 2000 Convertible Parts
The Front Header Bow Seal seals the top of the windshield to the convertible top, the the top is up. It also seals the front side windows to the A-pillar when the windows are fully raised.

The Convertible Roof Rail Weatherstrip fits on the folding roof of the vehicle to seal between the roof and the side windows when they are fully raised.
